We are seeking a creative illustrator and designer to develop engaging character illustrations and handle the interior layout and formatting of a children’s book. The focus is on creating visually appealing characters and a clean, well-structured interior that enhances readability and storytelling for young audiences. Scope of Work: Design original, child-friendly characters based on the story Create consistent character illustrations to be used throughout the book Handle interior page layout and formatting (text + illustration placement) Ensure proper typography, spacing, and alignment for readability Prepare print-ready and digital-ready interior files (Amazon KDP, PDF) Style Requirements: Fun, expressive, and age-appropriate character design Clean, minimal, and easy-to-follow interior layout Strong sense of composition and visual balance Requirements: Proven experience in children’s book illustration and layout design Strong portfolio with character design and book interiors Proficiency in tools like Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, or Procreate Attention to detail in formatting (margins, bleed, alignment) Ability to follow direction and incorporate feedback Deliverables: Final character illustrations (consistent style set) Fully formatted interior book file (print-ready + digital) Editable source files (AI/PSD/INDD) Additional Notes: Please share relevant portfolio samples, especially character design and children’s book interiors, along with your timeline and availability.
