Data Privacy Lawyer

We are currently seeking an experienced Data Privacy Lawyer and certified privacy professionals to work with a variety of Axiom clients across industries, joining one of the largest privacy teams in the UK and supporting in-house teams on flexible engagements. Responsibilities: Provide practical, business-focused legal advice on data protection and privacy compliance, including GDPR, UK GDPR, ePrivacy, and related frameworks. Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements with data protection and data-sharing provisions (e.g. DPAs, intra-group agreements, vendor contracts). Lead on key privacy deliverables, including DPIAs, LIAs, data mapping, DSAR responses, and development of internal privacy policies and procedures. Support the design and implementation of privacy frameworks, data governance programmes, and compliance processes across client organisations, working closely with legal, compliance, and business teams. Minimum Qualifications: Qualified lawyer in the UK (or equivalent jurisdiction) or experienced privacy professional, with demonstrable experience in data protection, privacy, or information law, typically gained over several years in practice. Strong working knowledge of core data protection regimes (GDPR, UK GDPR, ePrivacy), with awareness of broader regulatory developments where relevant. Experience gained in private practice or in-house environments, supporting commercial and data-driven organisations. Solid understanding of data lifecycle, data governance, and risk management, with the ability to deliver clear, pragmatic, and commercially aligned advice.
