GIS Technicians
Our client, a real estate company, is in need of a GIS Technician for an initial 6-month contract. Working remotely, provides support in the review, processing, and preparation of siteplan-related CAD and GIS files for digital mapping and web-based publication. They work closely with the Siteplan team to ensure accurate geolocation, maintain mapping consistency, and facilitate the integration of spatial data for website publication. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining clear communication. Core responsibilities include to review and process siteplan files, importing DXF/DWG files into QGIS and following established processes to produce the required output package (GeoJSON, footprint, DXF, and PDF) for reach community submission, and performing quality control. Required Skills
- 2+ years of experience working with QGIS (preferred) and/or AutoCAD in a mapping, or GIS-related role
- Proficiency in QGIS including DXF/DWG import, coordinate system assignment, GeoJSON export, and print layout
- Comfortable reading AutoCAD Map 3D files including lot/block structure, layer identification, and text attributes
- Strong Excel skills (including VLOOKUP) and lot number cross-referencing between spreadsheet and GIS data
- Experience with GIS tools (QGIS, ArcGIS) and GeoJSON/JSON data formats is required

We Offer
Excellent Benefits And Compensation Packages. The expected hourly rate range for this role is $20-30 per hour. The posted range is an estimate, the actual compensation offer will be based on the candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications and will be in line with internal equity.
