Lab Design Specialist
Position Title:nbsp;Lab Design Specialist Work Location: Remote Assignment Duration: 12 Months Work Schedule: 1st Shift - 40 hours a week, 8 hours per day Work Arrangement: Remote This is a remote-based role position. This position may require up to 10% overnight travel. You should reside within 50 miles of a major, metropolitan airport in the US. Position Summary: The Laboratory Design Specialist prepares 2D/3D designs and construction plans for complex automated and standalone laboratory solutions. You will support the development of the laboratory design throughout multiple phases to ensure the successful implementation of the proposed solution. Background amp; Context: This is a remote-based role position. This position may require up to 10% overnight travel. You should reside within 50 miles of a major, metropolitan airport in the US. Key Responsibilities: bull; Transform Matterport digital twin (BIM files or Point clouds) into formats used throughout the non-automation and complex automation design lifecycle bull; Produce detailed concept designs, phasing plans, and construction drawings using 2D/3D CAD software for non-automation and automated solutions bull; Develop 3D models, renderings, and advanced visualizations of laboratory designs using Revit, Sketchup, SimLab, Enscape, Twinmotion, and/or Unreal Engine bull; Provide accurate technical specifications and installation dimensions to engineers, architects, and the facilities team bull; Maintain advanced working knowledge of building codes, regulations, and standards bull; Manage multiple complex projects and tasks to meet the turnaround time demands of assignments Qualification amp; Experience: bull; 4+ years of recent experience with Revit, BIM, and/or other CAD-related software bull; Completion of a Bachelor#39;s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or comparable bull; Professional CAD designer who has experience with lab design, technical layouts, and visualization bull; Advanced proficiency with 3D design and rendering software (Visio, SketchUp, SimLab, AutoCAD, Revit, Enscape, Twinmotion, Unreal Engine) bull; Ability to design and read mechanical and complex architectural drawings; CAD file management and functionality; and drafting conventions and best practices bull; General understanding of Business Information Modeling (BIM) and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) bull; General knowledge of Extended Reality solutions and applications Working Conditions amp; Physical Demands (If Applicable): This is a remote-based role.
