Engineer Linux THIS MAKES YOUR JOB EXCITING Install, configure and commission Linux server solutions in outsourcing / managed services environments Deliver implementation, migration and modernization projects (on-prem and hybrid) Operate, administer and troubleshoot existing system landscapes (3rd level) Develop and improve our data center services: standardization, hardening, monitoring, HA concepts Optimize and automate recurring operations (e.g., patching, provisioning, system rollouts) Gather and translate customer requirements and run technical workshops together with our Service Management team WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Challenging projects with top-tier companies (market leaders and hidden champions) Structured knowledge sharing, mentoring, training and certification support Flexible working hours and home office/remote options Clear growth paths A collaborative environment with plenty of room for ownership and initiative WHAT YOU BRING Several years of hands-on experience with Linux server administration (mainly., SLES and RHEL) and strong fundamentals in networking, security and system operations Experience with virtualization, ideally VMware, and high-availability/cluster setups Exposure to cloud and hybrid environments (Azure and/or AWS) Scripting/automation skills: Bash/Shell (Python/Perl welcome) English skills at B1/B2 level (written and spoken) to work with documentation, tickets and international stakeholders Nice to have (not required): Windows Server/Citrix environments, Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Ansible/Terraform), monitoring (e.g., Icinga/Prometheus), Linux certifications Senior level (depending on your profile) We can hire this position as Senior Engineer Linux if you bring strong expertise in some of the following: Technical ownership of projects (design, implementation, handover to operations) Deep experience with security and automation at scale Coaching/mentoring and actively driving standards and best practices Confident customer communication (workshops, architecture reviews, stakeholder management)
