Position Summary We are currently seeking a skilled PHP Developer who specialises in creating and implementing plugins for various e‑Commerce platforms, including Woo Commerce, Shopify, Magento and others. This candidate will play a vital role in designing, coding, and implementing domestic checkout plugins that seamlessly integrate with our clients' websites and improve their overall user experience. The ideal candidate is also committed to continuous self‑improvement and is not afraid to employ innovative AI tools in their daily work to drive progress. Your key responsibilities
- Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and deploy custom checkout plugins for various e‑Commerce platforms;
- Write clean, well‑structured, and efficient PHP code, ensuring quality and performance of the plugins;
- Regularly update and maintain existing plugins, incorporating new features and improvements as needed;
- Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and advancements in e‑Commerce and checkout technologies;
- Document code, processes, and development‑related resources for internal and external use;
- Perform routine daily tasks using ChatGPT or a similar tool to enhance efficiency and productivity.
What we're looking for
- Extensive experience in PHP development, with a solid understanding of web development principles and best practices;
- Expertise in creating custom checkout plugins for multiple e‑Commerce platforms, such as Woo Commerce, Shopify, Open Cart, Magento, Presta Shop, etc.;
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other front‑end development technologies;
- Knowledge of database systems, such as MySQL, and the ability to write efficient database queries;
- Excellent problem‑solving and debugging skills, with the ability to quickly identify and fix issues;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members;
- Highly organised and detail‑oriented;
- A passion for staying current with industry trends and new technologies, continuously enhancing your skills and knowledge;
- Proven familiarity and experience with AI tools like Git Hub Copilot, AI‑driven IDEs (Cursor/Windsurf), code generation tools, and other AI‑assisted development technologies;
- Experience integrating AI tools into development workflows to automate repetitive tasks, enhance code quality, and improve productivity.
Nice‑to‑Have
- Prior experience in e‑Commerce or payment gateway development;
- Familiarity with API integrations and various CRM systems.
