About the position This role is an opportunity to own Amazon Advertising Policy’s communications strategy and operations (internal and external), ensuring that stakeholders are well-informed on policies and changes. The Program Manager will take ownership of existing mechanisms and processes, identify opportunities for operational efficiency, and invent new ways to broaden reach, all while focusing on the customer experience by helping Advertisers understand policies and providing a trustworthy experience for customers. The Advertising Trust team aims to provide a best-in-class experience for advertisers, protect customers from non-compliant advertisements, and offer clear guidance for advertisers to improve. The ideal candidate will have experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, developing communications across various formats, and be a creative, meticulous, customer-obsessed problem solver who leads by example. They must be willing to be hands-on and insist on the highest standards.

Responsibilities

  • Own and operate existing policy change communications processes and mechanisms, seeking opportunities to scale, drive down policy publication times, and achieve operational excellence.
  • Assess the communications strategy holistically, looking for opportunities to improve, streamline, and increase awareness visibility.
  • Invent ways to measure the effectiveness of the communications strategy.
  • Insist on high standards for policy; review policy content for accuracy, grammar, and style, coordinating with Legal/PR/Policy Managers as needed and seeking opportunities to improve policies.
  • Partner with stakeholders (e.g., Support, Moderation) to streamline communications and look for efficiencies.
  • Manage communications internally within Policy, increasing transparency and collaboration.
  • Maintain and update rejection communications for use with external advertisers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of program or project management experience
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
  • Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
  • Experience leading process improvements
  • Experience in an online advertising role and have familiarity with advertising products and ad serving technologies

Nice-to-haves

  • 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
  • 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
  • Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
  • Experience building processes, project management, and schedules
  • Master's degree
