[Remote] Data Scientist / Applied AI Scientist

They are seeking a freelance AI agent developer or data scientist to build intelligent automation tools for editorial and revenue operations, focusing on data analysis and pipeline integration.
Responsibilities
- Pull and analyze data from sources like Google Ad Manager, Google Search Console, GA4, and third-party APIs (Ahrefs, Reddit, YouTube, SimilarWeb, etc.)
- Surface anomalies, trends, and performance signals automatically
- Deliver alerts, reports, and recommendations directly into Slack or Google Sheets
- Use LLMs (Gemini or equivalent) to generate content briefs, scoring outputs, and editorial angles
- Design and deploy lightweight agents across editorial intelligence and revenue/ad operations
Skills
- Experience building data pipelines and API integrations (REST APIs, Google APIs, Slack API)
- Comfortable using LLM APIs (Gemini, OpenAI, Anthropic) as part of multi-step workflows
- Ability to scope and ship quickly — these are lean builds, not enterprise architecture projects
- Clear communication about what's done, what's blocked, and what trade-offs exist
- Experience working in media, publishing, or SEO/ad tech environments
