Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking an Electrical Engineer for a 1-year contract assignment. The role involves providing high-level expertise in system design, grid optimization, and technical risk management while leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams and managing project execution.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-level oversight of engineering and project execution, negotiate technical and regulatory requirements, and influence executive-level project decisions
- Leads multi-disciplinary engineering teams, ensure compliance with industry standards, and optimize technical designs for energy infrastructure
- Acts as the technical authority on engineering standards, practices, and regulatory requirements
- You will manage PPA, LGIA, and OEM testing completion
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- 11+ years of experience in PLC programming, preferably Schneider Electric platforms
- Experience of Modbus, DNP3, and industrial communication protocols
- Experience with Ignition SCADA platform and HMI development
- Experience with power systems and utility-scale energy project
- Experience with utility-scale renewable energy or power generation projects
- Knowledge of BESS control systems, inverters, and energy storage technologies
- Familiarity with grid interconnection requirements and utility standards
- Experience with FAT/SAT testing procedures and commissioning protocols
- Full accountability for PPA, LGIA, and OEM testing completion
- Ability to travel up to 25% for project commissioning support
- NERC CIP cybersecurity awareness
