[Remote] Engineering Manager, Platform

They are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead a team within their Platform Engineering organization, responsible for building foundational capabilities to enable efficient and reliable product delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers, supporting their growth and helping them do the best work of their careers
• Foster a healthy, inclusive, and high-performing engineering culture aligned with Lattice's values
• Partner with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to identify and prioritize opportunities that improve platform capabilities, developer effectiveness, and operational excellence
• Drive execution against team goals and ensure the successful delivery of impactful technical initiatives
• Support your team in making thoughtful technical and operational decisions that balance velocity, reliability, maintainability, and long-term sustainability
• Establish clarity around priorities, goals, and success metrics in an environment that may involve ambiguity and competing priorities
• Help build and scale engineering processes that improve team effectiveness and delivery outcomes
• Contribute to hiring efforts and help attract, assess, and onboard exceptional engineering talent
• Collaborate with engineering leaders to shape priorities and investments across the broader platform organization

Skills

• Experience managing and developing software engineers
• A track record of delivering impactful technical initiatives through high-performing teams
• Strong partnership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions and organizational boundaries
• Experience leading teams responsible for platform, infrastructure, shared services, developer productivity, or other foundational engineering systems
• Sound technical judgment and the ability to engage in architectural and operational discussions with engineers
• A passion for building healthy engineering cultures and supporting individual growth and career development
• Experience balancing short-term execution with long-term technical investments
• Comfort operating in environments with ambiguity, autonomy, and ownership
• A strong appreciation for reliability, operational excellence, scalability, and engineering effectiveness
• Experience with cloud-based systems and modern software development practices
• Experience supporting internal platform, infrastructure, developer experience, or productivity initiatives
• Familiarity with technologies commonly used at Lattice, including AWS, Node.js, React, GraphQL, and Postgres
• Experience helping organizations improve engineering velocity, developer experience, reliability, or operational maturity
