[Remote] Full Stack Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Oddball is a company focused on improving lives by delivering quality software solutions to the federal sector. They are seeking a Full Stack Engineer to build and maintain a cloud-based case management system for a federal financial regulatory agency, utilizing Java and React for full stack development.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain full stack features using Java on the backend and React on the frontend
- Build and optimize integrations with external datasets and downstream enterprise systems
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines using GitHub on AWS
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code aligned with DevSecOps practices
- Ensure all interfaces meet Section 508 accessibility standards
- Collaborate with product, design, and operations teams to deliver consistent, reliable improvements
- Support system reliability, performance, and security within an AWS cloud environment
Skills
- Strong proficiency in Java for backend development
- Hands-on experience with React for frontend development
- Experience working in AWS environments including services such as Aurora PostgreSQL, S3, CloudWatch, and Secrets Manager
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
- Thrives in a remote, collaborative Agile environment and genuinely enjoys working closely with a cross-functional team
- Communicates clearly and openly, whether in a code review or a cross-team planning session
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
- Bachelor's Degree
- Understanding of federal security compliance frameworks including FISMA and NIST 800-53 is a plus
- Experience integrating with enterprise data systems or APIs is a plus
