[Remote] Lead AI Engineer in Content Intelligence Applications

Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. EPAM Systems is building next-generation content intelligence applications powered by diffusion models and agentic workflows. As a Lead AI Engineer in Content Intelligence Applications, you will develop intelligent agents and robust deployment harnesses while collaborating across teams to deliver production-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain content intelligence applications that apply diffusion models for automated content generation and analysis
• Build and improve harnesses and pipelines for model training, evaluation, and deployment using platforms like Firefly
• Develop intelligent agents and agentic workflows to automate and optimize content-focused tasks
• Architect and implement MCPs to enable scalable, modular content processing
• Create and maintain evaluation frameworks to measure model and agent performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate content intelligence solutions into the broader product ecosystem
• Stay current with advances in generative AI, diffusion models, and content intelligence technologies

Skills

• Proven experience of 5+ years in AI/ML engineering, with strong Python skills and a history of building and deploying machine learning models
• Hands-on expertise with generative AI, particularly diffusion models (e.g., Stable Diffusion, Denoising Diffusion Probabilistic Models)
• Solid background in content generation and analysis approaches, including NLP and computer vision
• Practical experience with agent frameworks and building agentic workflows (e.g., LangChain, OpenAI Agents, custom agent architectures)
• Demonstrated ability to develop, run, and maintain evaluation frameworks for AI models
• Working knowledge of orchestration tools and harnesses for model training and deployment (e.g., Firefly, MLflow, Kubeflow)
• Strong problem-solving ability and comfort operating in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Excellent communication skills to support cross-team collaboration and clear documentation
• English proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level or higher
• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for scalable AI deployment
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
