[Remote] Lead Cloud Engineer
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Deloitte Global is the engine of the Deloitte network, delivering strategic programs and services globally. They are seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer to lead the deployment and maintenance of cloud computing technologies and ensure the reliability and security of cloud resources.
Responsibilities
- Lead the team responsible for deploying and maintaining cloud computing technologies, infrastructure, and applications to meet the organization's requirements
- Lead the documentation and administration of the design of cloud resource Enterprise Systems Infrastructure to meet business requirements for reliability and business recovery
- Integrate new solutions with existing cloud resources and evaluate impacts
- Develop and share standards and best practices for the cloud environment
- Lead the documentation and maintenance of cloud security controls, including system access and compliance needs
- Monitor availability and performance issues with cloud provider’s services and updates leadership accordingly
- Regularly assess and diffuse complex, and escalated client issues
- Solve systemic client service problems
- Explore alternative and creative solutions to meeting the needs of the client according to policies and guidelines
- Recommend new solutions to problems, to improve existing methods/procedures/services and generate new ideas
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, or related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or in a Lead Cloud Engineer-related occupation
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a Lead Cloud Engineer-related occupation
- 2 years of experience in performing and architecting daily system monitoring
- 2 years of experience in verifying integrity and availability of servers & applications
- 2 years of experience in performing software upgrades & conducting testing to verify functionality
- 2 years of experience in providing incident and problem responses for issues related to application availability, performance and functionality
- 2 years of experience in assessing hardware capacity and planning for optimizations while controlling cost incurred
- 2 years of experience in troubleshooting firewall and network connectivity with vendors to maintain database connectivity for critical applications
- 2 years of experience in setting up automations to deploy infrastructure and code
- 2 years of experience in collaborating with developers and project managers
