[Remote] SQL Database Administrator- prior DoD required
Note: The job is a remote job and is open to candidates in USA. Cloud7Works, Inc. is a federal IT contractor specializing in cloud modernization and cybersecurity. They are seeking a Database Administrator to manage survey data infrastructure for the U.S. Army BH Pulse platform, ensuring database health and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine DB maintenance on BH Pulse survey data
- Manage SQL Server clusters and SSIS package deployments
- Execute performance tuning, backups, patching, and schema updates
- Support compliance documentation (ARMD, OMB, IRB approvals)
- Ensure data security and PII handling in accordance with DoD 5400.11-R
- Coordinate with DPRR on data collection and regulatory approvals
- Report all compliance activities in monthly status reports
Skills
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field
- 6+ years administering MS SQL Server 2016 & 2019 in production
- 5+ years deploying and managing SSIS packages
- Experience managing SQL Server clusters in production
- DoD environment experience required
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills
- U.S. Citizenship; ability to obtain CAC/NACI
- Deep production experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Experience with SSIS in DoD environments
- Experience with AWS RDS SQL Server
- Familiarity with FISMA / FedRAMP data controls
- Experience supporting ATO documentation for database systems
