Sales Representatives – Veterinary & Animal Welfare Focused AND Vaccine Focused Roles Available

Shelters United is a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) serving nonprofit animal welfare organizations (AWOs) including shelters, rescues, and spay/neuter clinics. We partner closely with leading veterinary distributors and animal health product manufacturers to help nonprofits save money while advancing their missions. We are seeking a high-performing Sales Representative to join our specialized, fully remote sales team. This individual will recruit nonprofit AWOs to the GPO and promote veterinary products and services from our partner companies. This is a primarily lead-driven role but some cold calling is involved. We are also seeking a Vaccine Sales Representative that will recruit nonprofit AWOs to the new vaccine program and drive sales in that program. Please Note:

• Only candidates with direct veterinary sales experience and/or nonprofit animal shelter or rescue management experience will be considered. Applicants without this background will not be reviewed.

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit new nonprofit animal welfare organizations (AWOs) into the GPO.
• Promote and sell a wide range of veterinary and animal care products to member organizations.
• Maintain consistent high-volume outreach (60–70 calls per day with follow-up emails).
• Manage accounts and build strong, ongoing member relationships.
• Accurately capture and manage lead and customer data in Salesforce

• Continuously expand product and partner knowledge to better serve member needs.

Qualifications

• Required: Veterinary pharmaceutical, animal health, or pet product sales experience and/or experience managing or directing an animal shelter or rescue.
• Proven record of achieving or exceeding sales goals.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Success working in a remote, phone-based sales environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong time management, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Salesforce

, Microsoft Office Suite, and general computer applications.

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
