Senior iOS Mobile Developer - Swift / SwiftUI - Remote Contract
About HeartStamp HeartStamp is an AI-native consumer brand building a category-defining hyperpersonalization product. Our web product is live in the US. We are now building our flagship iOS app. We are a small, founder-led, distributed team. We move fast, we ship, we hire well. The Role We are hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to own end-to-end delivery of our iOS app. Design is in production. The supporting platform is already running. You are the primary iOS engineer on the project. This is a hands-on role. You write production Swift every day, make the architecture calls, and ship to the App Store.
What You'll Do
- Own the iOS app end-to-end architecture, networking, state, navigation, offline, App Store submission.
- Build a fast, polished native experience in Swift and SwiftUI on top of our existing platform APIs.
- Integrate with AI/LLM systems, including streaming responses to the UI.
- Implement payments cleanly (Stripe iOS SDK, Apple Pay, StoreKit 2).
- Handle media on device camera, PhotoKit, image upload, live preview at production quality.
- Ship to TestFlight on a weekly cadence and drive App Store Connect submission.
- Use Claude, Codex, Cursor, or your preferred AI coding tools as a daily force multiplier.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of professional iOS development
- 3+ App Store apps shipped as lead or sole iOS engineer
- Deep Swift / SwiftUI / Swift Concurrency. UIKit when SwiftUI is the wrong tool
- WKWebView + JS bridge experience on a hybrid app
- Stripe iOS SDK, Apple Pay, and StoreKit 2 in production
- AI / LLM API integration on mobile (streaming, retries, content safety)
- Strong networking, caching, and offline strategy
- iOS CI/CD (Fastlane, Xcode Cloud, or GitHub Actions) and TestFlight release management
- XCTest, snapshot testing, Sentry or comparable crash analytics
- AI-native daily workflow
- Strong written English. At least 4 hours of US Pacific overlap Nice to Have
- Android (Kotlin / Jetpack Compose) production experience
- Canvas / drawing / design-tool app experience
- Print or e-commerce product experience Engagement Terms
- $5,000-$5,500 USD/month for EET and Latin American candidates ($60K-$66K/year). US and Canadian candidates welcome but compensation will be benchmarked separately to local market rates.
- Full-time independent contractor, monthly retainer
- 50 hours/week with flexibility for ship-week sprints
- Performance and compensation review at 91 days
- Remote, with at least 4 hours of US Pacific overlap Timeline
