Social Media Manager & Event Reporter – HYROX World Championships (Stockholm) BOXROX is looking for an energetic and reliable social media manager/content reporter to join our team at the HYROX World Championships in Stockholm next week. This is a short-term event-based role with the potential for ongoing freelance opportunities covering HYROX, CrossFit, and the wider competitive fitness space. About BOXROX BOXROX is one of the world’s leading competitive fitness media brands, reaching millions of athletes every month across our website and social channels. We cover HYROX, CrossFit, functional fitness, strength training, endurance sports, and athlete culture. The Role You’ll be working alongside our team on-site at the HYROX World Championships, helping us capture content, conduct athlete interviews, and publish social content throughout the event. Responsibilities include:
- Conducting short athlete interviews on camera
- Creating Instagram Stories, Reels, and social-first content
- Posting live updates from the event
- Identifying newsworthy moments and athlete stories
- Assisting with content planning and publishing
- Coordinating with our editorial and social teams
- Helping capture behind-the-scenes content and event atmosphere
Ideal Candidate We’re looking for someone who:
- Is confident interviewing athletes and speaking on camera
- Has experience creating content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or similar platforms
- Understands social media best practices and trends
- Can work independently in a fast-paced event environment
- Is organised, proactive, and reliable
- Speaks excellent English
Bonus Points
- Existing knowledge of HYROX, CrossFit, running, endurance sports, or functional fitness
- Experience covering live sporting events
- Basic photography or videography skills
- Experience working with athletes, brands, or sports media
Location Stockholm, Sweden (on-site) Applicants must be available throughout the HYROX World Championships event period.
