[Remote] Mechanical Engineer II (CFD)

Meade is a full-service design firm specializing in innovative engineering solutions for data centers and large-scale construction projects. They are seeking an entry-to-mid level Mechanical Engineer II with experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to collaborate on various high-profile projects. The role involves designing mechanical systems, overseeing production, and coordinating with teams and vendors.
Responsibilities
- Independently drive projects forward throughout design and construction phases
- Design mechanical and plumbing systems for data centers
- Oversee the production of all mechanical designs, systems and drawings
- Work amongst a cross-discipline design team, owners, and contractors to develop drawings and specifications
- Coordinate with external vendors, internal design teams and manufacturers
- Major equipment selection and scheduling
Skills
- 2+ years of Professional Mechanical Engineering design experience, including hands-on CFD modeling and simulation to design and optimize mechanical systems for data centers or other mission critical projects
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Valid EIT Certification or Mechanical Professional Engineer (PE) license a plus
- Experience working independently and managing priorities
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and energy codes
- Ability to think strategically and demonstrate flexibility in order to achieve long-range objectives
- Self-motivated, comfortable with ambiguity and motivated to work as a team
- Top-notch organization, attention to detail combined with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office, AutoCAD, BlueBeam, Cadence, BIM and Revit
